Is your child or teenager looking for something fun and creative to do this summer? The Craft Studio has what you need. Check out our Summer Art Camp schedule and find the right class for your budding artist.


Weekly sessions cost $100 and will be limited to 10 students. There is no limit to the number of camps for which a student may apply (provided he/she is in the appropriate age group*). Classes begin and 8:00 a.m. and end at noon, Monday through Friday.

*The Craft Studio considers Age Group to range from the grade level a student will be entering in the fall through the grade level a student just completed.

Summer Art Camp Sessions

ART SAFARI
Grade Levels1 - 3
June 15-19
The natural world is filled with artistic inspiration, and this make-believe adventure is sure to spark some creativity. Some projects include: animal masks, nature inspired collages, dioramas, and polymer clay beasts & critters for a miniature zoo.


EXPLORE SCIENCE & NATURE
Grade Levels 1 - 3
July 13 - 17
Let us bring out the mad scientist in your child with a week of discovery and experiments. Projects include making goop, marbling paper, and growing rock candy. Also in this class we will discuss Earth friendly sustainable arts and crafts.


PUPPET THEATRE
Grade Levels 4 - 5
June 22 - 26
This week is all about imagination. Students will create marionettes, write a short play, construct a theatre, and perform a live puppet show! Projects involve papier-mâché, sewing, painting, writing, and performance.


SEW MUCH FUN
Grade Levels 4-5
July 20 - 24
It’s never too early to learn sustainability skills. Sewing is a way to reuse old clothing to make new toys and useful items. The class involves basic hand and machine sewing to make sock monkeys, pillows, and other creative projects.


PHOTO PHUNDAMENTALS
Grade Levels 9 - 12

Discover the magic of darkroom photography. Make a pinhole camera, take photographs and process them in our darkroom. This class is perfect for students interested in pursuing photography.


CREATE-A-BOOK
Grade Levels 9 - 12

Reading can be fun, but making your own book totally rocks. This class will enhance printmaking, drawing, writing, and bookbinding skills in order to produce a personalized altered book or zine.
